Winter is Coming…

I’m going to be taking some time off from gigging after the beginning of October so I’ll have plenty of time for mix and remix projects. Even some mastering. I’ve got a few awesome things on the burner, but please get in touch if you’ve got a project. We can make something happen!

Something Evol recorded last year. I suppose it is now labeled as a demo due to several line up changes. Still pretty happy with it though!

Coming a few days after Bill’s birthday, a fellow mad Aquarius… I thought this fit well with Sir Eno’s words I posted earlier.

” The word “should” should never arise — there is no such concept as “should” with regard to art. . . .

One very important aspect of art is that it makes people aware of what they know and don’t know they know. . . . Once the breakthrough is made, there is a permanent expansion of awareness. But there is always a reaction of rage, of outrage, at the first breakthrough. . . . So the artist, then, expands awareness. And once the breakthrough is made, this becomes part of the general awareness.”

“Repetition doesn’t really exist.

As far as your mind is concerned, nothing happens the same twice, even if in every technical sense, the thing is identical. Your perception is constantly shifting. It doesn’t stay in one place.”

9 Things That Shouldn’t Derail Your Record

” 4. Critics Choice
It’s nice to get some feedback when you’re making a record. But, too many cooks in the kitchen can be a bad thing.

You have to trust your heart. I usually recommend keeping the “opinion pool” pretty shallow while making a record.

People can un-knowingly create a negative uncertainty about a track. They don’t know they’re sending shock waves out.

You really only have to answer to yourself. What’s your vision? Have a few that you trust, make the rest wait for the release.”
